Independent Examination
Dr Mackay is highly experienced in the provision of Independent Medical Examinations.
If there are questions regarding treatment options, the necessity and relevance of requested surgery, or concerns related to rehabilitation needs and return-to-work prospects, an independent medical assessment can be arranged to address these issues.
Permanent Impairment
Dr Mackay is qualified to provide PI assessment in hand surgery, scarring and disfigurement.
If the condition has reached maximum medical improvement and no further treatment has been recommended by the treating team, then permanent impairment can be assessed in accordance with GEPI and the AMA Guide.
